14 - Nova Scotia River

Nova Scotia River 6 x 6 Oil on Gessobord $30 - Buy it here.

Another one of the series done in Nova Scotia. This was near the beach looking inland. There was a beautiful dark blue river connecting to a lake before it connects to the ocean.

13 - Nova Scotia Cliffs

Nova Scotia Cliffs 6 x 6 Oil on Gessobord $30 - Buy it here.

This is another one of my Nova Scotia series. Feel the warm breeze, mildly salty air, feet in sand and pebbles, and the view of red rocks and green pines. It was beautiful and love being there.

12 - Nova Scotia Shore

Nova Scotia Shore 6 x 6 Oil on Gessobord $30 - Buy it here.

This place is my family's tradition every year and man look at that scene! I love looking down at both ends where the land meets the ocean.

11 - Floating Island

11 - Floating Island 6 x 6 Oil on Hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

This is yet another painting with no photo reference, yep it's just my fantasy of a floating island similar to that of Pandora in the James Cameron movie, "Avatar".

10 - Trees at Sunrise

Trees at Sunrise 6 x 6 Oil on Hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

I gave it a go at trying to paint with just my imagination. I've always been attracted to a bright light source such as the sun and creating beautiful shadows in nature.

9 - Critter

Critter 6 x 6 Oil on hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

This is a critter I made up when I was younger. I used to make them stuffed animals because the first one was one of those back support pillows. I loved them so I made smaller pillow types so I can squeeze them whenever I wanted to. I still have my bright teal critter named Captain Fox with a black left eye patch. It was adorable. I realized painting this, the colors blend and becomes muddy. I think letting the background dry first then apply the critter will make it brighter. Or perhaps I should try painting him on a white background and not red. Painting is an experiment and it takes practice to get that "ah ha" moment everyday and build upon that little by little.

8 - Moseleum Barn

Moseleum Barn 6 x 6 Oil on hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

This is my first architectural painting of a barn in the Moseleum Springs in rural Pennsylvania. It was harder than I thought since the perspective has to look right and the sharp lines were not easy to achieve. I love the bright green grass scenery and the big blue sky with fluffy white clouds.

7 - Colorado Landscape

Colorado Landscape 6 x 6 Oil on hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

Another landscape painting! I can see I'm starting to improve with the earthy tones and especially the coudy sky that I love. Definitely an improvement than the previous painting.

6 - Daniel's Park

Daniel's Park 6 x 6 Oil on hardboard $15 - Buy it here.

This is my first plein air painting done in Daniel's Park. It's not easy to convey the colors of the majestic mountain view!
