Born and raised in rural eastern Pennsylvania with an artsy family. My dad was best friends with Keith Haring who was a famous pop artist from my town. My mom is an artist in metal smithing/soldering and my father a fine artist. They are now proud owners of a 30 year jewelry business. I was born deaf and got my cochlear implant at age 2-3 years old. I have been into art since I was a little girl around age 3. My parents notice my passion and have been giving me art supplies year after year. I was raised orally and didn't learn sign language until college. I got a degree in Industrial Design and Graphic Design at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010. After college, I realized I enjoyed painting and have just started learning to paint oils! Surprising I know but I have had experience with watercolor, gouache, and acrylics. I have fallen in love with water-mixable oils because it is very eco-friendly and no mineral spirits or turpenoid! I am now engaged with my beautiful partner, Clay. We are both deaf artists who are starting to venture into the business of the art world!
